Be an Anaphylaxis Community Expert
Anaphylaxis is an immediate, generalized, severe allergic reaction. It is similar to heart attacks in that prevention, early recognition and prompt treatment all save lives.
The Heart Association reduced the risk of death from heart attacks by offering a standard program of CPR training to the public. The Allergy & Asthma Network wants to do the same thing for anaphylaxis by training patients and caretakers of at-risk patients to become Anaphylaxis Community Experts(ACE).
If you are at risk due to food or other allergies, insect stings, or anaphylaxis with no known cause, or if you care for anyone at risk, ACE training may help you save a life.
This is the second year the Network has offered this program and we were again invited to bring it to South Jersey. Patients, parents and others with a medical interest are welcome to attend. No reservations, just come.
